Barney established Monahans in 2011. He has practised commercial and media law both in-house and in private practice. Barney was admitted as a solicitor in 1998 and has since worked for a number of well-known media companies.

Dr Johnson also works as an intellectual property consultant to a large media company and his practical experience covers management of trade mark portfolios, intellectual property and contract matters relating to music, television and print publishing as well as management of music artistes.

Dr Johnson served as an Adjunct Professor at Pepperdine University, California, where he lectured on the International Entertainment and Copyright Law programme from 2005 - 2013. He is currently a Visiting Professor at King’s College London, where he has lectured since 2003. Johnson gained his Ph.D. in copyright law from King’s College London and was called to the Bar in 1992.

Laura is responsible for the overall administrative operation of the firm.
